“I love books that transport you to a new world and let you learn something about the world in which we live. This book did just that. Overall, even though this book is outside the normal genre in which I read, I found myself enjoying it and learning from it. War is compelling and Tibbetts does her all to take us there.” ~ Katie French, author of The Breeders

“Another hit from Tibbetts … This book shows how an author can take a topic a reader may not generally be interested in and make it a real page turner.” ~ Bec at The Masquerade Crew

“Right out of the gate I was drawn in with Libby’s voice and situation. A woman determined to avenge her father’s death after 9/11 by signing up for the army caught my immediate attention. I was a little taken aback by the casualty of the rape of women in the units, seeing as how that is a very traumatic experience, but I like how it didn’t hold Libby back from her goal or belittle her future relationships with men, specifically Skittles. Tibbetts has extensive knowledge and has done the right amount of research for me to believe this heroine is in the army with lingo, movements, training and motivations. I enjoyed the book thoroughly and will be reading more from this author.” ~ Nichole Severn, author of Let Me Out

“PFC Liberty Stryker is a wild ride like no other.” ~ Lorin Morgan-Richards, author of Me’ma and the Great Mountain

“Libby learns to deal with being a woman in a man’s world – you are the weaker sex and that’s that. She makes friends, loses her father and in the end, she finds herself. This book is direct and in parts gruesome, never shying away from the real aspects of war. I found it shocking and frightening, that this is really part of our world. This is a book that everyone needs to read. It is an eye-opener that will emotionally change you.” ~ Claire Reads

“Author Peggy Tibbetts did her research. Her acknowledgment at the front of the book credits the many people who helped her get the details of PFC Liberty Stryker just right. After reading this book, I think you’ll appreciate even more the sacrifices of our brave soldiers, to keep America, you and me, safe.” ~ Beverly Stowe McClure, author of Life on Hold

“Tibbetts brings up the slogan of ‘shock and awe’ as it applies to this horrendous conflict, then proceeds to apply it to her own story. Reading this book and not feeling shocked, not feeling awe at the writer’s ability to pluck you from the safety of your living room and into the field of battle, is an impossibility. PFC Liberty Stryker is the kind of book that will shift the way you look at war, at the military, and at our country’s place in the world. This book is necessary. ~ Ophelia Julien, author of Saving Jake.

“In PFC Liberty Stryker, skillfully woven words reflect the jarring mood and reality deeply embedded in this fast-paced, arresting story. Peggy Tibbetts will keep readers anxiously turning pages with this first person, authentically gritty account of the life a female grunt deftly navigating the knife edge of modern military culture at a time when war and emergent adulthood irrevocably collide.” ~ Lisa Bracken, author of You and What Army?

“With Peggy Tibbetts’ new young adult novel PFC Liberty Stryker, she not only takes us into the war fueled by terrorist acts and political and corporate dictators struggling for power, she also gives the reader a chance to make up their mind about it by experiencing it first hand through the eyes of a nineteen year old girl … This novel is not for the faint of heart or those turned off by violence. But if you should take a chance on it, you will find a great page-turner. ~ M.E. Purfield, author of Breaking Fellini.

“PFC Liberty Stryker compelled me through the entire book. It made me think and take account of my viewpoint. Unlike so many novels in the field, it was startling. I was continuously surprised by the novel. I found the characters interesting. It felt authentic, real, and scary. The story was emotional and raw. I was drawn to Libby; she made me want to protect her. PFC Liberty Stryker had a message, which made it more intriguing. It was not a typical war story, in the best way possible. I highly recommend this novel.” ~ Hillary E. Peak, author of Wings of Hope
